It does't seem to go by that name but by others : Operation Fuerte Apoyo), it might be this one?

https://www.proquest.com/docview/196441252

this dude was there, it's in his last experience at the very bottom:

Also, JTF stands for Joint Task Force.

This coin seems to answer more questions.

"Operation Fuerte Apoyo (Strong Support) was the largest U.S. disaster relief/humanitarian assistance mission in history for Central America. The military headquarters for the operation, Joint Task Force-Aguila (Eagle), at Comalapa Air Base, El Salvador, coordinated engineer, medical and humanitarian relief for 20.3 million people over a 259,925 square-mile area in the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua."

I’m not familiar with STG or the meaning of TICS, but KITD/FOHS…”Kept in the dark, fed only horse manure” goes back to the Son Tay Raid…was created by USAF crew members.

You are correct, the area where STG is located is where training was conducted with the prison mock up

Not as impressive as the coins above but it does have a little mileage on it.

Not a challenge coin but very similar.. and not really sure it belongs here but thought some of the “coin” collectors might enjoy seeing an early coin/token.

It’s about the same size as challenge coin.

Somewhere I have a 1975 Bicentennial of the Army commemorative/challenge medallion/coin my unit in Italy gave out to everybody in the organization. It came with a certificate. It is specific to the command, not a generic item.

Bought this from forum member CHASEUSA11B.

It is pewter colored and non magnetic.

Any of you Jump Masters familiar with this coin?

Given upon graduation?

Thanks in advance.

Correction. It's for the 1976 US Bicentennial. It's been quite a while since I looked at it. The certificate indicates the I was assigned to the unit at the time of the bicentennial.

Hope you find it, would like to see it.

This coin has me stumped.

According to the web the First Special Operations Command was formed 1 December 1989.

This coin was copyrighted 1984.

Any input greatly appreciated.

Coin not in hand yet but I will check the rim when it arrives.
