robinb Posted March 12, 2008 #1 Posted March 12, 2008 Finally got my 1966 M274A2 "mule" running. It's a lot of fun to drive around. It'll go anywhere, just not fast.
Brian Keith Posted March 12, 2008 #2 Posted March 12, 2008 Those are neat little vehicles! They saw lots of use in Vietnam. Nice! BKW
Gregory Posted March 13, 2008 #6 Posted March 13, 2008 Does it have a clutch or it has one-speed drive?
robinb Posted March 14, 2008 Author #7 Posted March 14, 2008 It has 3 forward gears and one reverse. Also a high and low range for off or on road use. 4 wheel steering, full time 4 wheel drive. It is rated to carry 1000 pounds of payload.
Woodymyster Posted July 31, 2020 #9 Posted July 31, 2020 Do you work on these? ( I see another vehicle on a trailer in one of the pics)
Tony V Posted July 31, 2020 #11 Posted July 31, 2020 robin Excellent restoration ! Congratulations and thank you for the posting. Tony
mikie Posted August 1, 2020 #12 Posted August 1, 2020 Oh, THAT kind of mule. Kinda had me wondering on a restoration on the other kind. Seriously, congratulations on your project. That thing looks really neat! Mikie
AZPhil Posted August 2, 2020 #13 Posted August 2, 2020 Great job on a true work mule!!! Semper Fi Phil
Backtheattack Posted August 30, 2020 #14 Posted August 30, 2020 Great vehicle. Had seen one at the german-american festival Grafenwöhr in 2018.
P-59A Posted January 14, 2021 #15 Posted January 14, 2021 I always wanted one of these. Back in the day when George Airforce base had DRMO sales a few of these came up, but I didn't have the $500.00 they auctioned for. Very cool!!!!
