Shanghai Jack Posted August 10, 2011 #57 Posted August 10, 2011 Found this sea bag posted on another forum. It's part of a VMF - 224 group which is currently for sale.
BEAST Posted August 10, 2011 #58 Posted August 10, 2011 Here is a close-up of a seabag that I have that came with a vet's group.

Corpsmancollector Posted October 30, 2011 #63 Posted October 30, 2011 Mark, Killer seabag! Nice to see some 3rd Amphib items too...Always liked that SSI! Will
Steve1987 Posted October 31, 2011 #64 Posted October 31, 2011 These seabags are awesome! Considering the character they have, I'm surprised how low some have sold on e-bay! Does anyone have any tips for locating them on e-bay? Do they typically get listed as sea bags? Thanks to everyone who shared their bags! -Steve
JGC Posted November 11, 2011 #65 Posted November 11, 2011 picked this up yesterday Nice bag Mark, I'm sure you will do some killer research on this guy. Jon
Steve1987 Posted November 17, 2011 #66 Posted November 17, 2011 Could anyone give me an idea of the price I should expect to pay on these sea bags? I have seen a couple nice ones for sale recently - but I'm not really sure what the nice ones typically sell for? -Steve
gunbunny Posted November 17, 2011 #67 Posted November 17, 2011 Don't hate me because I'm beautiful! OK, some nice bags there but this one is a real winner. I found this at a local auction a few years ago. I paid about $125.00 for it (got into a bidding war with one other guy). Enjoy. Pinup obviously inspired by The Outlaw with Jane Russel. The bottom. Note what looks like an M.P. armband. Another bag but not so fancy. Stencil appears to be square which would make it a 2nd MarDiv item. The bottom and reverse side.
bobgee Posted November 17, 2011 #68 Posted November 17, 2011 Here's a USMC Seabag I picked up at the Tulsa Gunshow this past weekend. While not as colorful as the later China-painted bags I really like the historical aspects of this one. This pre-WWII Marine was a member of E/2/6 who served with the Marine Brigade in Panama and in Iceland in 1941. Enjoy....Semper Fi......Bobgee
IBC Posted November 19, 2011 #72 Posted November 19, 2011 Great thread! This is mine USMC seabag, Can I find some info about this Marine somewhere? Regards Tryggvi
