vintageproductions Posted October 5, 2020 #130 Posted October 5, 2020 The above belongs to another USMF Member Dennis Kim and was his shirt he wore in Vietnam. He has told the store that in the 80's, his son wrote Rambo over then name strip while he wore it.

Harvs73 Posted October 17, 2020 #135 Posted October 17, 2020 My father was in the Australian Army in Vietnam based in Saigon as part of HQ Australian Forces Vietnam. While he was there he traveled around the country to various bases and areas for his job. He managed to acquire a few uniforms including this set made up for him. Unfortunately when he died a "family friend' stole it and a great deal of other uniforms, equipment, bayonets and my fathers Bronze Star from my parents house and they have never been seen again. The second image is me back in 1986/87 when I had the job of modelling the uniforms for him.
Harvs73 Posted October 18, 2020 #136 Posted October 18, 2020 An addition to the kids cam uniform I posted on the Beogam thread, I just found this image of my brother wearing an ERDL uniform that our father had made for him in Vietnam in 1968/69. I also have a sarong made from ERDL material that I will take some images of and post here in the next day or so. The photo would be just after he came back in 1969 or at the latest in 1970 as I am the youngest there.
kammo-man Posted October 19, 2020 Author #137 Posted October 19, 2020 Wonderful images and additions !Beautiful family picture. It warms my heart to see that Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Harvs73 Posted October 19, 2020 #138 Posted October 19, 2020 Here is another item my father brought back from Vietnam - an ERDL wrap around to wear after a shower.

kammo-man Posted November 7, 2020 Author #145 Posted November 7, 2020 US issue tropical uniforms were heavily modified as was the custom in Vietnam.Pockets straightened and hidden zipper pockets added in the French style.Patches are a mix of hand embroidered printed and woven as here.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kammo-man Posted November 7, 2020 Author #146 Posted November 7, 2020 Interesting the lower jacket pockets were added to the lower legs which have been helmed with elastic.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kammo-man Posted December 5, 2020 Author #147 Posted December 5, 2020 Brown dominate Arvn uniforms also existed. This was was obtained by a news reporter who made it into Cambodia and Vietnam. Both languages are represented here in the countries different font and sewing styles.Shirt also has a Cambodian jump wing as reporters typically were awarded these when covering a particular unit.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kammo-man Posted December 5, 2020 Author #148 Posted December 5, 2020 No left sew on but the Cambodian is above.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kammo-man Posted December 5, 2020 Author #149 Posted December 5, 2020 The set was found in Kentucky if I remember correctly by a fellow member and kindly traded to me a decade ago.Brown dom US issue pants complete the set.Shirt is dated 69 Pants dated 70.Press-journalists sets exist and are hard to find.If this was named it would be great but it is what it is.Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
C.G. Posted December 6, 2020 #150 Posted December 6, 2020 Greetings Owen, here is a advisors invisible you have seen before. Acquired from a surplus store in Atlanta where the owner usually won’t sell any vintage items.
