IMHO this shirt is overpriced.  The name tapes, SSI & jump wings all look like stateside-made insignia.  I can't make out if there is a foreign jump wing over the right pocket or just IMHO this shirt is overpriced.  The name tapes, SSI & jump wings all look like stateside-made insignia.  The foreign jump wings over the right pocket look like British jump wings.

This is a nice shirt in good condition, but most collectors like wartime-used uniforms.  This shirt does not have any badges or features that would indicate wartime acquisition or use.  Way over-priced in my opinion.

Here is a nice set of erdl’s I received directly from the veteran. He was an armaments man for 3/17th Air Cav but he flew as door gunner on occasion.

I'm happy to be able to finally add to this thread, I recently picked up this brown dominant erdl set a few weeks ago it does not appear to have been used at all. The coat was manufactured in 1969 the pants in 1970, interestingly both of the cuffs on the coat look like they are made from green dominant fabric. Would love to get a patched set of green dominant erdl to go with this one.

At $200, I agree.  Additional photos show what I think is a UK jump wing over the right pocket.  This was most likely a Cold War item, possibly early 1970's.

The problem is that SF stuff seems to get picked up fairly quickly.  It can be frustrating for a collector to constantly see "the ones that got away."   I went a long time before I could get my hands on a badged ERDL jacket, and there is a temptation to overpay for things out of frustration.

Fair price?  $65 maybe?

A day trip to China Beach. Hot dogs, beans, onions, pickles and plenty of beer. Climbing back into the deuce and a half heading back to garrison. Living and playing one day.........tomorrow back to the war. Ducette lying on the box of drinks, can't remember the name of the sergeant in the back. He was in charge of Special Services, which meant he had the keys to the CONEX boxes that had a ton of beer in each one. Good guy to know! Back to take a shower and get the dirt, sand, and salt water out of us........then tomorrow back to LZ 401 to get on our CH-46 Sea Knight chopper out to God knows where in Quang Nam Province....................

For the price I couldn't pass this up. It's dated 1968 aswell. The sleeves were cut and modified. (this one is hand sewn) marines would cut down their sleeves because they can't roll them up in a field environment, or combat environment. Named to a "K. H. Dorr". Could also be a postwar vet made piece, neat nonetheless.20211017_090932.jpg.6a279856dffd19c7977b24d95f613030.jpg20211017_090919.jpg.a8963c4fab6a327e1113726e3ed3ac13.jpg
