USCapturephotos Posted August 25, 2017 #201 Posted August 25, 2017 I hit my favorite flea market for the last time this summer and saw a sad sight. There was a large container with a marine grouping and the seller was selling everything out of the grouping piecemeal. I missed some great things but did get some paper pieces, a photo, a nice variant patch, a meatball flag and the painted sea bag which was my favorite piece. Our Marine was named Phillip Ham and you will probably see other things from him surfacing on Ebay from other sellers the next few weeks. Paul
USCapturephotos Posted August 25, 2017 #205 Posted August 25, 2017 Last shot. Phillip Ham is the second from the left.
jguy1986 Posted August 26, 2017 #206 Posted August 26, 2017 Salem is just a short drive away from me. Sad to see it split up, but I'm glad you saved what you could.
USCapturephotos Posted August 27, 2017 #207 Posted August 27, 2017 Hi Jguy. I'm not sure yet how Miss Mahoney from Salem was related to the Marine. Paul
jguy1986 Posted August 27, 2017 #208 Posted August 27, 2017 Maybe a married sister. Could be some interesting research.

Bob Hudson Posted April 18, 2019 #219 Posted April 18, 2019 Some of the best military folk art has to be on Marine sea bags.
Brig Posted November 3, 2019 Author #223 Posted November 3, 2019 Another bag that was listed on eBay...
Bob Hudson Posted November 3, 2019 #224 Posted November 3, 2019 It's a true folk art genre - nose art for grunts.
Stony Posted December 16, 2020 #225 Posted December 16, 2020 I have 10 or 11 painted seabags, but this is my favorite one. I actually have another seabag from the same Marine which is also unis marked, but not as elaborate.
