John Cooper Posted April 16, 2010 Share #3 Posted April 16, 2010 Hi paul, Thanks for posting these examples. I am not that well versed with the history of the Vietnamese Special Forces or the U.S. Special Forces and their operation during the war. If you have any photos S/SGT Gerardo wearing these or other wings it would be cool. Cheers John
pwmiraldi67 Posted April 17, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted April 17, 2010 here are 2 examples of US Forces wearing the Viet LLDB wings, I know I have more. these were awarded without actually jumping with the LLDB, although many did do some training jumps with the LLDB, and there were a few combat jumps, but most got the matching Viet wings, ie if you had master US wings you got Master Viet LLDB wings, many assigned to SOG got the Monitor wings, also know as SOG wings, paul

63 RECON Posted October 18, 2014 Share #21 Posted October 18, 2014 reviving a long dead thread but anyone seen LLDB wings like this before? are these a wartime variant? merrowed edge cheers Ryan
triplecanopy Posted October 19, 2014 Share #22 Posted October 19, 2014 Just a guess , these May have been worn on a black jump suit. Parachute instructors often worn black jump suits to distinguish themselves from students.

Copran Posted October 20, 2014 Share #25 Posted October 20, 2014 Wings look too modern for me. I don't like the merrow edge.
