FW12 Posted April 29, 2007 #42 Posted April 29, 2007 Some more - had to go to my old photos to get these ones! 1st - Custom done ribbon bars for an USAF officer. I like how he had BOTH Occupation ribbons (Germany and Japan) on his bars! 2nd - Unnamed 3rd Infantry Division Silver Star Recipient Enlisted Man's Ike set
FW12 Posted April 29, 2007 #43 Posted April 29, 2007 I really liked this uniform - this one was one of those uniforms you later regret selling. While the ribbons weren't terribly significant, all insignia on the uniform was bullion. Dang, that was one sweet uniform!
CNY Militaria Posted April 29, 2007 Author #46 Posted April 29, 2007 Beautiful ribbons Beau! That WO uniform looks great!!

KASTAUFFER Posted April 30, 2007 #50 Posted April 30, 2007 Ribbon bar set to Chaplain John K. Borneman ( Brig Gen RET ) . He was the Chaplain of the 60th Coast Artillery on Corregidor and was captured and taken POW when the Philippines fell. He was liberated by the 6th Army Rangers at Cabanatuan " THE GREAT RAID " . He was one of the most highly decorated Chaplains during WWII. The insignia is his as well. The crosses are pinback sterling .
