Still hoping someone with some genealogical skills can help us identify this marine. Here are a couple of shots of the inside of the blouse. Scott -

A smallish collection of collar insignia that I recently found in my friends estate. I'm guessing that the one with gold wreath is a cap badge. It's similar to the 1902 enlisted branch devices but I'm not 100% sure if this is an authorized or unauthorized insignia. -

Welcome and greetings from Jackson. If you are ever down this way stop in to Michigan's Military Heritage Museum and say hello. We are currently revamping our marine exhibits and just received a nice para marine group as well. Scott -

Yeah, as you know, that’s a bad one, SonofNamVet. The “ghost lettering” of “Vietnam” and “71-72” looks like a newbie engraver was practicing. Plus the saying, as is often the case on fakes, makes absolutely no sense. Thanks for posting. -

For a general officer, looks a bit young. I suspect a put-together representative uniform. -

Here is a picture from Pintrest. It shows a US general officers uniform, I cabling read the name tag. But has a LOM with a device that shouldn’t be there. A lot of work went into this uniform and wondering whose it might be and if real, why isn’t it correct. -
