He married Helen Johnson on 14 February 1941. He lived in Walla Walla, Washington, United States in 1920 and Portland City Election Precinct 22, Multnomah, Oregon, United States in 1940. He died on 24 November 2002, in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, United States, at the age of 91, and was buried in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, United States. -

m1helmetnerd- The machete appears to be one made by the Collins Company. They did use that blade design. Some machetes they made were stamped on the blade, or had only a paper label. As to whether it is a WW2 issue, not sure. Scabbard is WW2, but not sure about the machete. SKIP -

VNAMVET70-You are looking at the "line of white" my friend. Because of possible glare it kind of appears to be sharpened by a previous owner. Difficult to tell. Based on the original photo you have a nice one. SKIP -

A friend showed this to me in hopes to find out anything about the name A Gettman. The name is also ink stamped 3 times inside of the WW2 liner.
