I finally found evidence that 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment are now wearing a new battalion-level organizational beret flash and it's new. Much like 2-506th's beret flash, 1-506th's mimics the design of their battalion's airborne background trimming vs their historical beret flash from the 1970s (first graphic below). Ver cool! -
