Just got mine back from a long trip across the country to a class III gunsmith. I haven't shot it yet but the gunsmith burned up 100 blanks through it and he said he got it tuned well. I dont shoot much as there are no public ranges around here to shoot stuff, but for the 4th of July I might put a magazine through it. Couldn't resist putting it with my solid reciever 28A1 display gun... It'll make a great display at my group's next show. -

Agreed. My original WW1 trench broom is marked very similarly. -

Very nice Kornfield and John K. Here's a few early examples of 36 and 42 models. 1841 Asa Waters, 1837 Johnson, and 1854 IN Johnson -

He probably served occupation duty post-war presumably from the US forces Austria patch. The National Defense Service Medal is an early issue and would be sensible if he was an active duty or a reservist during the Korean War. The Army Commendation medal looks like it is Post-Korean War type. Could we see the back of the Army Commendation Medal? -

I wanted to assemble the forearms but the clip was bent. Unfortunately while trying to straighten it out, I snapped the tab thingee off. Luckily it’s cheap and easy to get another one. -
