Hi Johan, Looks like I missed out on these... They aren't on Peters website. Some came out of Thailand last year (randomly!) Photo enclosed of those on offer. I purchased one. My three in the other photo. Cheers Graham -

THANK YOU for sharing this most interesting & historically relevant bit of Documentation. Just for the Record so to speak, Charlie Pate's awesome Work on U.S. WW2 Era Secondary Handguns is also an excellent study of the assorted Handguns we 'loaned' to the British during their desperate time of need. Best regards, Dom P. -

I wanted to share what I recently uncovered, going through some of my old files. I came across a couple original and photocopies of letters that went with an M1903 Springfield rifle that had owned quite a while ago and as long been sold. The pre-WW1 rifle (1913 dated I believe) was in quite nice shape. It was taken home after service by the owner and in mid1941 donated to the American Committee for Defense of British Homes. This was an American organization in which US citizens donated gifts of arms, ammunition, binoculars, steel helmets, and stopwatches to be sent to British civilians for the defense of their homes. Obviously this is all done when the United Kingdom was under threat of invasion before December 7th, in this case literally just weeks before Pearl Harbor. Interestingly enough, there was correspondence confirming arrival of the donated '03 rifle (and Biltmore DB shotgun), what they were to be used for and eventually a thank you letter which accompanied the return of the arms to its owner. Anyway, I thought this may be of interest to some on this Forum. Cheers -

Hi all, I picked up one of the above, named to "Adrian Vaaler". The medal came in a 1984 dated box, the name seems fairly unique, and I suspect this might be the guy: https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/registerguard/name/adrian-vaaler-obituary?id=17904769 Can anymore confirm this? Thanks, Stephen -

I had one of those "Dude, where's my jeep?!" moments when someone had driven off in my M201 Hotchkiss by mistake, at an event back in 2007. He had gotten permission to borrow someone else's M201.... And they happened to have matching ignition keys.
