Hi Johan, I forgot to add that this all occurred on a tight bend in the road so it was only milliseconds of decision to avoid the monster, they really are too large for these small centuries old roads of Normandy, no point in stopping as it's a farming area these beasts dominate the roads. It's an often mentioned topic of conversation here that the farmers drive one handed and the other hand holds the cell phone to their ear, had I been in a car the ditch wouldn't have been the option.
