Here is a nice example of the new 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment's Beret Flash being warn by a 1st battalion major at the Army's 250th Birthday celebration in DC. I call the flash new, because 1-187 was not in existence during the time the 101st was wearing the dark-blue air assault beret (1974-1979), so it had no historical beret flash to fall back on. I think it is very cool that air assault units are beginning to wear organizational beret flashes, just like their wear airborne background trimming behind their Air Assault Badge. -

There were some skeet, & trap guns used for training but I believe they were the earlier purchased versions marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY & GHS inspected. As stated the 20" riot would be my guess. (I agree with SSG Mac & loose that thing on the front.) Here is my Trench gun. -

Probably 1880's. That style Massachusetts button dates to the late 1800's. I have a pair of similar epauelets on an 1872 style Massachusetts jacket, but mine are likely a bit earlier as they still used the Civil War style Massachusetts buttons. -

The second one is called "Main Office". 1:10 into the film you see Heagy sorting mail and Miles talking about how he was the units unofficial mailman. Here: -

I've been continuing to do research on Heagy. This site has a trove of information about SACO: https://saconavy.net/ Under the "Historical Videos Taken in China" there are 7 clips of the work of SACO in China that is narrated by Rear Admiral Miles (the CO of SACO). He must have recorded these narrations at a reunion because there is clearly a crowd of people in the room laughing at his jokes. Videos here: https://saconavy.net/videos/ Two of them have footage of Heagy where he is mentioned by name. The first video (titled "Happy Valley") starts with a scene of 4 officers. Heagy is on the right in the pith helmet. Here: -
