If you are doing an Avenger aircrewman, either gunner or radioman, they were not officers, so did not wear khakis. Khakis would only be worn by officer pilots. -

That's a really nice M-1. I can tell you really care about it. That's the most important thing. -

If I were to drop big bucks on no-doubt-about WW2 airborne brass, I’d hold out for examples with the Meyer Metal /Shield logo. -

Hi all, Is there any guidance or regulation regarding the use of SSI on Officer's dress blues ? Photographic evidence does not appear to be abundant. Can anyone provide photographic or other evidence that this was authorized ? Or is there some regulatory text ? Thank you so much Kurt B -

Ha! Probably better that it doesn’t. Since they were used on top secret spy kinds of stuff, if it told you, it would have to kill you afterwards. 😁 mikie -

Bronze insignia didn’t come to be until 1902. The infantry insignia appears to be for an officer, as there is no company letter. EM would typically have a letter below. There appears to be a maker hallmark on the reverse? What does it say? That hunting horn is not the typical US infantry design. Looks foreign to me. The 14th Inf, Arty and ME are all collar insignia - 1902 to mid/late teens. Cap insignia was screwback. Pinback insignia was worn on the collar. -

Welcome. There’s a good chunk of Frenchman on here I’m sure are able to understand you, but most members are in the US, so translation would be best. I’m pretty sure it’s as easy as dropping into google translate and the just copying and pasting. Welcome to the forum, would love to see your vehicles! -

Sadly she is in really rough shape, pretty much scrap at this point. Too bad she wasn't recovered sooner.
