Hello and thank you for your acceptance, I am French and I am a reenactor on a GMC CCKW truck, I honor the soldiers who landed and liberated Europe with the French resistance, and I also know and learn about the outfits of the Second World War era.

Hi,  The folks here on the forum range from newbies to longtime experts. Most are more than happy to share their knowledge, so don’t worry about asking “dumb” questions. I’m far from being any kind of expert, but I did research this question myself several years ago.  The green buckles were used through most of WWII. Black buckles came late in the war or post war.  mikie

Thanks all, the response was surprisingly good!  I’ll send pictures when I do it. It’s a fly in at my local museum and I think I’ll be a radioman, so that’ll be pretty cool. Thank you for the pictures and inspiration I’ll send photos of what I have so far soon!

Jun 23-2025.  Hi.  Donna Wosk in San Diego.  Lovely Avn. collection. We have several varieties of BULLION remaining.  Most still are in the 'glassine' envelope with the old WOSK Store Labels.  At the tie they cost $ 5.oo, which seems an enormous amount.  // Do you also collect Strikers ?  We have " plenty " from our parents' ARMY NAVY Store here I San Diego.  When we get to x30 Posts, we will be able to post pictures. Thank you, Donna
