I would expect to see some sort of ghosting from the chicken wire which slightly concerns me. Similar to ghosting in US M1’s that do it did have nets on at some point. -

Yeah, I "kept scrolling" when I saw it last night, then - after sleeping on it - felt a sense of responsibility. I've probably seen 20-30 CW German helmets over the past 25 years, three (maybe four) of them looked original. -

I was having coffee this morning and saw this helmet and had the very same thought. I really didn't want to rain on the OP's parade so just kept scrolling.... I agree though. The wire gives me pause. The lack of interaction concerns me. The fresh rust on the rim I don't like. I think somebody has tried to add value to a beat up shell. -

Interesting challenge coins. The 4 star coin would likely win you a drink if you were in the military and at a bar with other service members! -

Have you considered a K-Bar that fits into a leather scabbard or sheath? Often times the scabbard fits the form of the original Knife. You would certainly have problems trying to insert it into an M8-A1 scabbard. The first two pictures don't really make sense. This is an interesting post. -

You rarely get the thing you want. You always get the thing you never anticipated you'd ever get.
