Here’s one ya’ll might enjoy. Some great helmets including 9th Id MO’s with beautiful painted helmets and a 9th ID combat medic with very faint Red Cross on his helmet. -

Exactly. Just with HUSC especially. I just wouldn’t even risk it. I would get a nice repro and just keep it in the sheath. -

https://www.richarddavisphotography.com/travel-photography/lady-be-good-day-5-april-9-1943/ The link is from Richard Davis. He visited the crash site in 90-91 and took some stunning photo's on film. I strongly suggest going to his site to look at his trip in its totality. He comes up on a British fuel dump and 3 blown German trucks. -

Also, at a reenactment you will never stab anyone even with a rubber one, to much of a liability. Plus they weren’t necessarily used in that compacity. Usually used as a utility knife, especially among medic, to help cut stuff, bandage, cut away clothing. Etc. -

M6 scabbard till probably D+20, then switch to the M8. The leather ones fell apart quickly, so you see the plastic ones pop up in August of 44 as they start to replace the M6
