Also super quick followup: What period of reenactments should I use the m8 scabbard for? I understand it was developed about 1943, but is there specific timelines from 1943 I should and shouldn't use the scabbard for? If that all makes sense. -

Hey everyone, I was just thinking about something for my kit. I got this old leftover m8 scabbard from my grandpa, as he grew up a few years post Kwar, so he had a bunch of ww2/Kwar surplus. And anyway, I was wondering where could I find a rubber or plastic replica of the M3 knife? I would get the At The Front replica one, But it would be nice to actually use at reenactments to "Stab" without giving anyone an actual injury or pain from it. If anyone could help, Big thanks to you! -

I will of course have to get my materials. I will in time, I'm just unsure when. Gotta love being a broke teenager!! -

Usually UCV items are marked UCV. There are always exceptions. I believe it is a novelty or souvenir type item. It does in my opinion have age to it. -

Okay gentlemen I need help again. This knife has the Kingston MADE IN USA tang stamp & looks very similar to the late WW2 knives. EXCEPT it has a short screwdriver and a sharpened can opener (which I believe was also on the 1948 Ulster). Can anyone help date this knife? I am figuring it was made shortly after WW2 out of parts. It was advertised as a WW2 knife. It’s in excellent condition. Thanks for any help, John
