Fully done 3rd pattern fiber liner is now complete. Bleached the webbing from OD7 to OD3 ish. Added a post war sweat band because I’m going to be using this a lot. Then I painted the inside, finished up the edges, added a liner chisel tarp and voila and decent standin Hawley. Turned out better than expected and super excited to show it off at my next event. Hopefully someone was at least semi interested in this and maybe this gives someone the inspiration to try it out for themselves. Hope you enjoyed the process!

picked this up at a garage sale today. got tired of sitting home and took a ride to relax and have a change of venue. some time you need to get out and breathe. saw this sign garage sale and stopped went out to see what was there. nothing but, asked any military. lady said yes and came out with this. an m-42 chicken wired shell--- no chin strap or liner. liner band is dated 194- can't see last number, got to look closer. all 3 pins to the band have the washers. no decal so i am thinking a later 1942 production. the chicken wire is sort of thick not like the thin wire you can get today. it looked good took a chance and went for it. no info on it but, a bring back that sat in a hot attic that destroyed the leather liner. its still out there.

Hey everyone, just wanted to show some Front seams I got from eBay these past few weeks. One of these I am in the process of removing rust, but the other one is completely in original untouched condition. I'll give them new chinstraps soon and they'll be set (After I restore the rusted one of course)
