Here is an example of  Japanese Flag IMA had sold which was a " CB Special" also has the fake Temple stamp which    https://www.ima-usa.com/products/original-u-s-wwii-seabee-special-japanese-good-luck-flag-gi-made-to-sell-and-trade?variant=40469662007365

I remember in my early collecting years many collectors and dealers shied away from and shunned german flags with names or unit info marked on them by the GIs. Most would be more than happy to sell them very cheap as the flag "ruined by some GI writing all over it". Also the Japanese flags with battle damge/burns or blood stains were looked at as junk and not collectible...my how things have changed and its all the rage now to get a signed German flag or Japanese flag so it can be "researched"

My understanding is often the ones making the flags would at times just copy Japanese writing off of crates, signs etc. Some may have went as far as to have a POW or civilian write on the flags in trade for food, smoke, candy bars etc. Enterprising Sailors and Marines always come up with solutions to a problem. 😉

Adding on too: Here are my Medic bag contents, I understand some is civilian and post war, But does anyone think it is too unacceptable?

Hello! I just introduced myself earlier, I'm Lars, I do a medical kit for my reenactment division as a 9th ID combat medic from WWII. I wanted to post my current impression in this section. And I was hoping I could get advice on what I should and should not do to improve it.  Since I've gotten my stuff, I am updating my kit with actual M37 trousers (Not post war ones), Definitely have dirtied up my armband and jacket so it doesn't stick out so much.  What else can I do to make my kit better? What do you all think of the current one?

Nice little group I’d say you made out okay to say the least! This may be a nice little grouping to put in a shadow box display of sorts, especially since it’s named and not would be even better if you could find a picture of the GI to go along with it! Congrats on the find 👍
