Hello! I just introduced myself earlier, I'm Lars, I do a medical kit for my reenactment division as a 9th ID combat medic from WWII. I wanted to post my current impression in this section. And I was hoping I could get advice on what I should and should not do to improve it. Since I've gotten my stuff, I am updating my kit with actual M37 trousers (Not post war ones), Definitely have dirtied up my armband and jacket so it doesn't stick out so much. What else can I do to make my kit better? What do you all think of the current one? -

Nice little group I’d say you made out okay to say the least! This may be a nice little grouping to put in a shadow box display of sorts, especially since it’s named and not would be even better if you could find a picture of the GI to go along with it! Congrats on the find 👍 -

Small Introduction I'm Lars, I'm a younger fella who recently got into the reenacting hobby and historical collecting. I have a 9th ID Field medic impression for WWII Reenactment. I've always enjoyed history, with the roots of it being me seeing Master and Commander: The far side of the world as a kid, and getting into the history of British Naval history and Napoleonic war history. And now its grown to several topics, Such as Napoleonic, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam. Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning way more about what I can do with my impressions and kits in the future, See you around! -

Hands down, an EA-6B on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. Better grab a padeye, and open your mouth a little, a Prowler will rattle the teeth right out of your mouth! Semper, Ski -

The end is in sight! My latest (and just about last piece of the puzzle) acquisition is this rear sight. For now anyway. I want to mount it to make alighting the barrel properly a bit easier. I’ll take it apart and put it on in my next bit of spare time. I’ve seen videos on how to install it but would be happy to hear any sage advice or insight anyone may have. These things that seem to look relatively easy always make it seem like I’ve fallen into an alligator pit. -

Nice grouping. Regarding the officer collar insignia with the numbers being soldered on top of the bar it is my understanding that this dates it to post WW2. Everything else in this grouping appears to date to WW2. -

I have a bunch of items from the Proteus including some photos I took of her loading ICBM's onto a sub alongside in Guam circa 1977 when Foster was the CO. -

I used to volunteer at The Western Museum of Flight when they were at Hawthorn Airport. Every summer we had an airshow and 25-30 vintage prop job warbirds would fly in. In 05 we had the F-18 Super Hornet on deck. The Marines came in the week before and connected our arresting cables. The F-18 did some flybys before making an arrested landing. At the end of the airshow all the birds took off for home and the Super Hornet was last off the line. It did a short runway take off using half the runway and went nose up in AB. I was next to the runway at the point it shot straight up and that time it was the loudest bird I had heard until the F-35. That F-35 was at 2000 feet above me and it was a living breathing monster.
