That definitely seems like the right person. Thanks again AxolotlHelmet. Outstanding work.   It's great to get a better picture of who these soldiers were.  But it is kind of a sad reunion.  I can imagine them in 1945, young men signing their names to this flag.  80 years later, they are joined again with pictures of their final resting places.

101 2nd BG 187th Abn Inf in 1957 with Foliage, they seem to be in a Transport that will make a Air Landing.

Honestly, I’m thinking it’s either a very unique ww2 theater made knife, definetly not made in any islands, but maybe Australia? Or NZ? Or it’s Vietnam. The construction looks a little similar to some Vietnam theater knifes, the Sheath also reminds me of those same styles with the little pocketing the outside.
