Heat number is 386A. These are the best pics I have access to. I have not purchased the helmet, so limited in photos. -

I am not a helmet person, but I think this may be what you are asking about. I have an August 1958 dated WADC Technical Note with pictures and a description of the Hardman mounts. I do not have the 1957 pub, but I believe what you are asking about are shown in the modification kit shown on page 22. So, they were around by August 1958, if not earlier. -

Thanks, yokota57. I have a similar Army Service Club lighter, although it’s a Zippo, from a service club in Vietnam that I posted earlier on here. -

Hahahaha, welcome to the rodeo! I see a hand, not machine sewn chin tac strap. That is what I would expect to see. I have no idea of when that was done. Pics of the snaps and how the bails are attached would help along with the heat treat number on the helmet. -

Thanks for the info. I would have kept chasing the Waterbury Button Co angle and getting nowhere! -

Pics of the fixed bail with attached para chin strap. FYI. The leather chin cup is a replica. So I have read a lot of the information in those prior post and I am more confused now than ever. Not sure anyone has any clear and concise information on para liners. LOL. Thanks for all of your help! -

I have always admired this outstanding photo of nine members of the famous 369th Infantry Regiment, a.k.a. the Harlem Hellfighters, who are seen wearing their French Croix de Guerre medals. While they are clad in US uniforms in the photo, the 369th was detached from US command and given over to French Command while fighting in combat in France during WWI. While the 1st Division is known for being the first US troops to see combat, the 369th served in combat longer than any other American unit. Allan -

Looking for the WWII recipient of medal 12666 if anyone can help. From the numbering I would guess it was awarded in the mid 60s -
