Barry, I believe that your first patch posted is, according to Mark Bando, a Type 14.  Scroll part way down the page on this link to see Mr. Bando's great information. https://www.101airborneww2.com/eaglepatchcorner2.html   (Credit:  Mark Bando - Eagle Patch Corner website)

Hi. I'm new to the forum and exploring when I came across this interesting series of posts. I picked up several years ago an SRU32/P Vest I'd like to share. It appears unused and was wondering if they were actually ever issued in SEA. Any info to share?  Cheers

As stated, the one on the left is a post-WW1 carrier for the VB grenade launcher, Army or USMC. It replaced the French wartime pouch that was made of leather. The other is a bolt pouch for the bolt of a rifle when replaced with the Pederson Device. I suppose a pair of wire cutters would fit, but that is not the intended use for the pouch. It's missing a snap hook from the reverse.

Also, is anyone even Intersted in this? Haven’t gotten one reply sadly. I know it happens, but I was hoping this would garner more attention? Maybe people are just waiting for me to finish?  Jsut hope this can possibly be used as resource in the future. If it turns out okay.
