It has a slight smell to it but thats probably because its hasn't been properly cleaned in 81 year's. Anything old and vintage like that has different smells to them some you can get rid off some you cant. It may also come down to your own tolerance level as well. Some people cant stand them smell of anything musty and old and others can.    And smells are very dependent on what was last in it or on it and everything in between

I believe it was 26 x 36, but I'll need to double check when I get back to it.

Many many years ago at a show in Southern California,  a gentleman had many stamped and engraved purple hearts and Valor medals for, what were, at the time, reasonable prices. I asked a friend at the show and he said that those medals were all purchased in lots from a govt facility. They were rejects because of misspellings, so they were not given to the vets.

I just ran across this being a Forum newbie...AMAZING collection! Just one question, were the M9 projectors only AAF raft kit items? I had read somewhere that they was some use by infantry. I imagine what ever could be obtained was used. (My dad had an M8 while serving as a combat engineer in the Philippines but had shot all the flares and tossed the pistol on VJ day.) Great photos...and great books!!!  Cheers
