Just heard this morning and I am so saddened to read this. EQ was someone that I got to know over many years of collecting and I can thank him for so much knowledge and support. Most of my collection came from him and I will never forget his generosity and mentorship to me. The community has lost a really great person. -

Interesting! So this has it listed as M166, et., losing the (experimental?) prefix. Any dates? Any information on actual issue or use? Because of it's size I would assume survival but I've never seen it listed as a vest or kit issued item. (Then again I never saw the Army Data Sheet.) Thanks again for the info! -
