It would have to be a Senior ROTC, college or university, for the age requirement, if there was an airborne slot in the program. -

What is interesting, is that the US Army told soldiers they had to remove foreign jump wings/awards from above the name tape on the left on the BDUs, shirts and field jackets in the mid 80s. I had a fellow cadet/Grenada vet who wore Canadian jump wings. He wasn’t happy. Now there’s these examples (from what ..twenty years ago?) -

From the size of it, it looks like an AIRBORNE tab for the 17th Airborne Division. It seems shorter than it should be. -

This is one of the patches I picked up at a local sale….Im pretty sure it’s WW2 era…just verifying if its period and what variant of this patch it is. Any opinions or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks -

Picked this patch up with a few others at a local sale….just curious if this bullion patch is WW2 period patch. It looks old on the back but the front of the patch is in really good shape. Reproduction?? Any thoughts or opinions would be extremely helpful. Thanks -

Thank you for your input! I’ve reached many of the same conclusions as you, I’m about 98% comfortable calling it the Weston Raider’s. I fully concur on the handwriting point, too. I’ve tried signing a shirt with a fountain pen before and the writing looked nothing like my normal writing. I’m just putting it out here for any other suggestions of who it could be before I fully begin believing I found a local raider’s uniform. -
