Thanks again, much appreciated! I don’t know what Greasy Grass is but this pouch has been stamped with 7th Cav for over 50 years. My father in law had this packed in a box for decades and didn’t find it until he moved. He wouldn’t know the first thing about any of the history, value, or even how to sell it. He just gave it to me because he doesn’t want it. -

As a non American, I have always been fascinated by the wide range of military surplus items offered to the American collector. I even collected odd advertisements that I cut from American magazines in my youth. Example attached. As a knife collector, my main interest has always been the M3. I have never seen, the M3 advertised for sale as surplus. My question is. Were genuine, issue M3s ever sold as surplus and has anyone any reference to advertisements for such sales?
