My father served in the ranks of Maj. and Lt.Col. from the late 50s through the late 60s. His cap carried the "gold braid" on the brim until he retired in '68. Thank you for your cooperation. -

Update: A friend of mine (who unironically wore that kinda camo in Kuwait in 1994) said he is gonna see if he can 3D print a helmet to put it on. I’ll add more updates if it works out. Thank you all for the suggestions! -

Well if it’s both I don’t know, it’s going to look odd without a helmet, I think you may just need to choose between one side or the other and display it in a frame, That’s what I would do without a helmet. -

Make a form with, wood, styrofoam or cardboard and display it on a helmet stand -

Found this cleaning out the basement. Can't remember when or where I got it. Anyway, based on the stenciling, I think I pieced-together that it represents a private in Co F, 23rd Marines, 4th Marine Division. Would anyone be able to pull any info on Private C. Edmiston, Jr? Curious as to when he served and where he saw service with the 4th Marine Division in WW2. Thanks! -

Here is a photo of Madame Chiang awarding Cloud and Banners to members of the Doolittle Raid in 1942. These must have very low numbers. (Jimmy Doolittle is in the background ... he got a 3rd Class). Next to him is Colonel John Hilger who got a 6th. About to be awarded is Captain Henry Potter). -

Hi, New here, thanks for having me. I picked up this guidon at a flea market recently and wonder if it's authentic and from about when, or maybe it's a prop reproduction. Either way, it's a nice addition to the collection and I'm happy to have it. No tag. Measures 38" x 25 1/2". Leather straps on top and bottom inside the pole sleeve. Any insights appreciated. Thanks. -

Here is another example (not mine) of a 6th class in a sliding top wood "inner" box. Outer box not present.
