I just went to my cousins house for her birthday, when she gave me a pin she said she found on the bathroom floor. She liven in an old house, and said she had never seen the pin before, but I recognized it as a WWII pin for a mother with a son in the signal corps. I find it pretty interesting to think about the family before them who owned the pin and the son who was sent to war.

I looked in different places for the Marine Helicopter Squadron and it was HMM-164, known as "The Knightriders" that was in Operation Frequent Wind, and the CH-46 chopper number(153993) is the actual number of the helicopter that landed on the Embassy roof helipad and picked up the last US Marines from the embassy with Master Sgt Juan Jose Valdez, being the last Marine to board that chopper.   Semper Fi.   Manny

Very nice work, Joe. The closeups of his face really tell the story. The uniform and equipment are exquisite, and the groundwork really puts it over the top. Better explanation is that they are slide on ribbons and they were our own wrong at some point. 

Likely an error from the ribbon set maker, the set looks like it is attached to the original cardboard from where the recipient had likely ordered the set from.
