Theater made is my guess. 1918-1919 French or German make for the top one maybe. -

Yes the bands without reflectors are rare as compared to the ones with reflective tape tags. The "Ranger Tabs"... I dont know when they were added to the bands? Maybe mid 70"s so yes its an older band. Put together? Soldiers tend to mark their equipment with their names possibly and frequently their service numbers. You find a helmet... Steel... and a liner that both have the name and number and it can be researched... then those kinds of helmets are not put together. Otherwise.... who knows??? There are lots of "Tells" which takes time to learn. And getting burned in the process sometimes unfortunately is part of the hobby. Read as much as you can here on the forum. Nice helmet and liner and cover though, and at a decent price. -

Hi, everyone.I have had these 2 for a while and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the era and where they were made? I was told post WW1, but I'm not sure now about that. Thank you for the help. -

Just purchased it! I've heard that these bands are fairly difficult to find still on helmets, is that correct? I think this should do until I can get my hands on an in-country steel pot. Any other thoughts on it? Do you reckon it's been put-together because of the late Korean War chinstrap, '66 dated liner, and '68 dated cover? Or do you think it has been in this state for a while? -

I found a reverse image that said this was Naval Air Facility but can track down nothing but a canadian patch using the same moto. Thanks in advance. -

From what I see, they look like US made patches used anytime from the late 1960s to mid 2000s. The value probably wouldn't be that much for most of them. However, that being said, it looks like you might ( I cannot tell for sure) have a mid-1960s 44th medical brigade patch at the bottom of the second photo and a mid1960s USARV patch at the bottom of the third photo. Those might bring $10.00 each if they are what I think they are. I would have to see closer shots of them to be sure. Just my 2 centavos. I am sure others will chime in.
