I recently came across a leather sheath for the M1 carbine that was dated 1942 and produced by Lyon & Coulson. I tried to find additional information on how common or uncommon this item was but couldn't find much. I know L&C produced the M6 scabbard and various other leather items during WW2 but would appreciate any information other members have on the production of M1 carbine leather sheaths by L&C during WW2. Thanks. I have attached pictures below for reference. -

Sorry, almost forgot about the source: those were all found by digging through DVIDSHub, the DoD's own site. Here's a link to the full gallery: https://www.dvidshub.net/image/9054402/air-assault-school-graduation-romania A few more found on DVIDSHub, 1-320th FA's change of command ceremony on 8 May 2025. There is not a thread with photos but there is a thread talking about where they were used. Lots of photos of them on Bougainville and quite a few on New Georgia along with training photos. -

Sorry for the long delay in my response. It was a hell of a month. The whole family got Covid, each taking around 7 days to feel better. I was the last one and just started to feel myself again today. Ready to see some pics of what I have this go-around? If so, send me a private message, thanks! -
