He’s wearing a San Francisco service medal. So we can assume he’s from San Francisco, but Without a name attached to the picture it’s going to be quite difficult to figure out with this gentleman is.

That Patrol Squadron Four dated 1954 at bottom left is my favorite.  Nice lot!  I was going to guess it was a sleeper lot on Liveauctioneers.  Well done!

I have been saving and saving to find something very special. Here is the information about this statue. Some will know it some wont. It is a birthday present from my wife. The photo will show what it is. Here is a photo of the winner of it. I thought I would share it with you guy's. I hope you Marines appreciate it. Especially that Sgt from back east.   "Besides the vermeil medal, the winner of the individual events received a bronze statuette "The Victorious Athlete". For this the artist was another Belgian, Mr. Grandmoulin. The design was put in hand by the Organizing Committee at the International Olympic Committee, who approved it, but the cast was destroyed to prevent further reproductions. The second- and third-placed athletes were given silver and bronze medals respectively. In the team events, the winning team received a diploma and each member of that team was presented with a vermeil medal. A silver medal went to the second team and a bronze one to the third. In yachting, the procedure was slightly different as in each category, the helmsman of the first team received a vermeil medal and a statuette but the remaining members of the team got just the medal. In the doubles tennis, each player of the winning couple received a statuette and medal in vermeil. A miniature of the winner`s medal was made for the members of the National Olympic Committees an served as a badge." (Source document:  Olympic Review, 1972)

Finally got to go to a flea market this. I haven't been able to go recently due to work. found these small items for $1 each. The ribbon bar is the wider Navy Marine Corp size. Always nice to find something. Benning book is not dated but they are wearing BDU's so I am guessing 1980s period
