Sino-American Cooperative Organization (SACO) For Memorial Day 2025 below are two additional SACO emblems from my collection. Perhaps one of the rarest yet most attractive SACO patches is the highly symbolic design shown below. It was known by the men as the “Draggin’ Anchor patch”, the term of endearment given land-bound Navy sailors who comprised SACO. “Draggin’ Anchor” jacket patch | theater made | Chinese silk embroidery on silk SACO jacket patch | theater-made | multi-piece canvas with embroidered detail; mounted on leather -

Thank you for posting that, That is very interesting and I don’t intend to go down that path, But I do see what you are saying. I hope it is clear that this is not for that purpose and I appreciate you bringing that to my intention. I only posted it as FAKE intentionally so that some one didn’t try to twist it like I was trying to sell it as a real on ( not saying you specifically) I also posted it in this section because if I posted it in copy/reproduction it wouldn’t get as many comments or insight from other members. Thank you. I can promise you I will never come to the point of trying to fake stuff for gain or greed. Gear Fan -

Take a look at this link, and then ask yourself how this guy got started... Im not accusing you of what this guy did. Im just pointing out, its a slippery slope in my opinion. -

Also, probably screwed up in the title It’s not a fake, but a display piece for me and as an example to show at public events to demonstrate raiders techniques for camouflage. I hope it is clear I AM NOT A FAKER. Nor am I trying to fool anyone, I am not trying to sell this as an original or anything of the sort. Just my attempt at trying to get as close as possible to one. -

Hey all, I’ve been contemplating what to do with this as I recently did this helmet up as a nice display piece for my self and me only. But I was curious what some more experienced helmet collectors thought of it and how it actually looked accuracy wise. I based it off of period pictures of raiders in the Russel Islands and of the example that @ArchangelDM owns (which is BEAUTIFUL) When doing this it was going to be a sort of joke/ experiment if you can call it that. I was going to post it and see what people thought make up a random out of the woodwork story to show how simple it is for real Fakers to make stuff up too try to fool others and how easy it is for them to just go on the internet find a raider or other marine, write in a phony name make some sort of story to provide and Iron clad chain of custody how he found etc. plus some other small items to really sell it. But then I decided that I didn’t want to get kicked off for someone not necessarily understanding that I am not trying to fool anyone before I pulled the plug and called it. Anyways. I hope ya’ll enjoy, really took some work to find all the parts to go into this and weather it and stuff. Hope someone might enjoy as it is the closet I will ever get to a real one 🤣 enjoy! Those knives, tunnnel lamps, and sapper necklaces are all bogus—-if u message him about any you will get a great capture story . He sold a pair of captured “vc handcuffs” a while back that turned out to be modern landscape tree ties—he forgot to scrub the manufacturer label off!. -
