I recently got an M1 helmet directly from a local Special Forces vet. He said the soldiers were allowed to keep their M1 helmets right after the switch to PASGT helmets. 

ID? I believe the Morse Code reads: CPP E V.

The website U.S. Crash Boats lists P-107 as being assigned to the 1007th Quartermaster Boat Company, at New Orleans.

From what time period? Edison had 12 volt system post WW1.    

Found this 1942 dated Troxel canteen cover at one of the yard sales I stopped at today. It's in nice shape and I think it's not one of the commonly found makers.

Thanks for answering.  The National CW & before Register I think was started before the Gettysburg tally.  Ed Olmstead & friends started the register, and Jim Bender is the current scorekeeper.  A few new pieces are still found occasionally.  The survival of these early cannon is more than would be expected, after the WW2 scrap drives destroyed a large number of tubes.  I will be following your posts.  Thanks for what you are doing.  Col. Avoid this seller—about everything he sells is fake as they come—he has a capture story on everything as well.  Sadly many a people have bought the bogus stories and items.  He used to source modern day items from asia, doctor them up, make up a story, and now you have an authentic VC item.
