I think there is a different angle of this shot of buckles that was posted early in this topic. Grinding through a bit of stuff posted on FB, I came across this shot of buckles on Vintage Productions FB page. -

In case you may be interested in the souvenirs I made from the Hangar One wood, here is the link to that project. https://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/354626-uss-macon-and-hangar-1-model-made-from-wood-from-the-hangar/#comment-2826302 mikie -

Today I worked on my broken rear handguard. Though my grandfather was a highly skilled woodworker, it is yet another skill I am sadly lacking in. One section near the clip that was cracked broke off after I started fiddling with it after it arrived. I cleaned up the break a little and then used wood glue to join the pieces together. Once the glue hardened, I got a bit creative filling in the gap between the two pieces. I hand carved a sliver of wood to fit the gap, glued it in place, used wood filler to fill the gaps, then sanded it all smooth. The clever part is that I used a small piece of leftover wood I had that had been salvaged from Hangar One at nearby Moffat Field. Somewhere on the forum is a thread I posted about this wood and the souvenirs I made out of them. All that is left now with this is figuring out what shade of stain to use on it. mikie -

Thank you very much, I believe this coat was issued while overseas as the contract date if I remember dates it to June of 1918. It also has some small field repairs so I’m guessing this was a coat he wore pretty late war and during the occupation. Also my first ID’d uniform. I really like this set. -

The Tiger Bde was based at Ft Hood, as part of the 2nd Armored Div. The posted patch is a not too old paki-made creation. I’ve never seen an original worn patch of this design. When I was in the 2AD in the early 80’s, the only place I saw this insignia was on a large sign outside the HQ building.
