This is correct. It spun off into its own organization in 1960. -

Fantastic post about the 8th photo tech squadron! I'll have a grouping soon from a S/Sgt that was attached to this unit and it comes with several original invasion maps. -

I was told the 40 & 8 was responsible for all the shenanigans at their annual conventions. -

Don't know what you've found on his wife, the Navy Nurse, but her name was Kathleen Rebecca Morrow. She was his second wife, married in Nov 1952. She came into the Navy 12/01/1942. Made LT 8/01/1945. This is from 1945 Between 1950 and 1952, she was recruiting officer for Navy Waves and Nurses. -

Ebenezer Snapper Ingram served during WW1 as member of Battery B, Second Anti-Aircraft Battalion, attached to the First Army Artillery Headquarters. This was given to him at the American Legion National Convention in 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the head of the 40&8 as the Chef de Chemin De Fer for 1929-1930. Incredible quality of 14k with the name bars also being 14k. Three diamonds in the lower part. The nice American Legion medal that I have owned and will be in my upcoming book. -

Anyone have a spare 304th? Last one to complete my collection. Will take a repro. Wouldn't mind replacing my 320th. Mine is misshapen--oval shaped, not round. -

For instance, the IOH has a 31st Chemical Brigade patch that's a shield shape with crossed sword and arrow, but Wiki shows that unit uses the old 31st Infantry patch. Just because it's approved by IOH, does that mean that's what's currently being worn?
