I've always thought the white border on this patch was just a manufacturer variation. The white border does not "indicate" anything. -

Hello Everyone, Has anyone else seen an Army Service Forces (ASF) Patch with a White Border? Standard WWII construction, cut-edge, and measures about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking. Bruce Linz -
