Been looking at the M1 helmet listings on ebay and none of it looks good. Virtually every WW2 helmet liner chinstrap is a euroclone. I think hunting for this stuff in the wild is the way to go.

Yea and there are a lot of fakers out there selling humped up M1 lids. Has been for a while now. Some of them were even found out here in the helmet section and kicked off this forum. Much like whats happened to German lids... If someone wants to spend 360 or above thats their business. Just depends on what someone wants and is willing to pay. All thats being offered is a WW2 era piece of steel. Fixed bail w what appear to be original straps and majors rank soldered on. And a follow me stripe. Is it worth 360- 400 ? Il pass. If it had a name and serial number starting with an O,.... that would be a different thing altogether. Was common practice to paint name and serial on the inside of the lid. Especially an officer.

I sold a real nice named navy pot with a hawley a couple years back for $750.00

Beautiful lid!! And I actually have a spare liner if I can get this one. I have been looking for one with a follow me stripe for awhile and this one looks better than the others I have seen. One I don’t like as much was listed at $1,200 without a liner. Some of these m1s are running in the German helmet range now it seems like.

I would pay 360 for this, it's a nice helmet, but it being on ebay is a little nerving. If it's unnamed, I wouldn't even consider it in the 400-600 range which is probably where it will end up towards the end of the bid.

Found this a few months ago.  A guy was selling a huge trove of books owned by a WW1 historian who had recently passed away. I bought the whole library. Among the many gems I found was this Quarter Master band diary. Technically it's not WW1 because it's dated 1920, but it includes a pinned original photo of the soldier who owned it. Just thought I would share. I have never seen another like it.

Does anybody have a clue about this one

I thought I had the only one but I came across another pic of an Eddystone with the same stamp, definitely not a Canadian stamp
