I don't have any 27th uniforms, but I do have a 27th helmet. It has a bullet (probably a pistol) dent in the front of it, right where the logo is. It has no liner or chinstrap. My father got it when he was stationed in Germany. I might have a picture of it somewhere. If not, I'll post one later today. -

Recently obtained this interesting group. This Officer started out in 1957 in Naval Intelligence and later went onto Surface Warfare Officer. He was in the Brown Water Navy during Vietnam and several at sea fleet assignments. The Commander ultimately commanded the USS Power DD-839. -

Often found pinned on WW1 soldier's overseas caps. "Sweetheart" pin may not be the best description for these and similar branch of service related WW1 pins, but they do fall into the category of unofficial souvenir items. -
