. Getting ready for D-Day week Another local friend has renovated this 1938 Dodge model D, it was believed to have been used on the US airfield at Columbus, Mississippi before WWII started. Peter is having a plaque made up accordingly with Columbus Mississippi airfield for the front wing, it is not being marked up with invasion stars etc . . . . . . . . . . . Norman D. The German badges had a lot of oak leaves, too. Their version of the combat infantry badge isn't that different. -

Here is what a US Navy Torpedo boat of WW1 looks like. And an ad of a Elgin version of a Torpedo watch of WW1. Just bought the ad off eBay as a reference of these type of watches. This Torpedo boat was larger than the WW2 ones and this on had a larger size crew of 29 men. -

I finally found proof that 3rd Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division has started wearing their former beret flashes from the 1970s on their Army Black Berets, just like 1st Brigade, Artillery and Division. Checkout their recent brigade change-of-command on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Axma3gm7i/ I am still looking for proof that 2nd Brigade has transitioned to wearing their 1970s flashes. I wonder how long "big Army" will let this continue for I still cannot find any authorization for it, other than this quote from DAPAM 670-1: "All other Soldiers wear the Army flash on the black beret, unless authorization for another flash was granted before implementing the black beret as a standard Army headgear." https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN30948-PAM_670-1-000-WEB-1.pdf https://tioh.army.mil/FAQs/FaqsOrgInsignia.aspx?SectionID=103 -
