Yesterday we began some work to revamp our WWII USMC section at Michigan's Military Heritage Museum. While still a work in progress, we started with a couple of 1st Div Marines including one who served at Guadalcanal and later in Okinawa and China, as shown by the late camo uniform, another who was at Guadalcanal, and a 2nd Div Tarawa Marine.      Up next will be a nice navy corpsman as well as a MAW and 4th Div set of Brothers.     Scott

Under the expert guidance of forum member illinigander our cart restoration is taking shape. We have had several delays as we acquired the 1909 ambulance wagons, and are also completing a 1902 caisson and limber restoration with a fairly small group of volunteers.      The rotted wood has been replaced and a new ammo box holder has been fabricated with mounting in progress. All of the leather straps have been made and we were able to save and reuse the original buckles and hardware.       Next up will be the gun box and accessories.                     Scott

Should I clean it or leave it as is?

Apologies I misspoke referring to garment # 5 ( the post war Dutch cape).  I should have said garment # 4 (the 1941 British Ground Sheet/Cape).

I love this because of that tag! Exactly the type of piece I look for. Thanks for showing us and let me know if it ever becomes available. Paul

It's these two photos that confirm Ft. Tyson and the museum are one and the same. It's the background hill that confirms it.

Outstanding, a super realistic built and painted model. Thanks for sharing one more of your unique modeling projects! Keep up your great work!

Picked this set up at a local Collector's mall a couple of months ago and just getting around to post some pics. Am a fan of USAREUR stuff, so it was an easy grab for a few bucks. The tan Spec 6 shirt has the same laundry number as the jacket. It came with matching pants as well. No ribbon bar, so don't know what he was awarded for his Vietnam service with the 20th ENG BDE.

Not mine, just bird dogging eye candy for y'all. And ... YES .... if I'd won the lottery, it'd be setting in my driveway.
