I know it's going to be tough to find, but if anyone reading this post has a spare original Case V-42 stiletto sheath/scabbard for sale?,  I have an original V-42 but got it in an auction w/o the sheath, and it would be nice to have it among the knife. Thank you! 😃

I was thinking it could be occupation of Germany era  I’ve seen similar patterns with the detailed feathers made by Assmann. 

As granny would say,  "Them are all good",  as in US Mint production,  officially engraved and issued by the USN to the sailors named on them.    I knew a Ralph Davis who was a B17 bomber pilot, same name as your last medal.   Ralph used to run every day well into his 80s, not an ounce of fat on him and still had a hairline and head of hair better than most 25 year olds.   Told some good bomber pilot stories when I sometimes ran with him, and one particularly wing and a prayer landing in England.      

A friend is slowly cleaning out his garage and two storage lockers of "stuff" he's collected over time. He's been bringing in a little here and there...today was a box with miscellaneous stuff, including this Army Aviation Cadet Sergeant's chevron (a lonely single for now)....   Mark sends

The safety ring/clip items from your first photo are from the M600/M601 fuze used with the early T7 light anti-tank mine.  Later fuzes used with the M7 series mines had a different safety clip.

The one German is missing his face, head shot. both appear to be looted. A coworker and friend who has passed many years ago, was Wounded at Casino he had two Luger's a P38 some Italian pistols, and an Illinois Railroad pocket watch he took off a German who no doubt took it off a G.I.  in his duffle bag, he was shipped home due to the severity of his wounds. later a box arrived with the pocket watch. Thinking it was probably his dad's watch. True story.  Pictures tell a thousand stories. 

My guess is the Germans were moving out or retreating so fast, that they were taking as much equipment along with them that they could carry....I like the remote-controlled anti-tank gadget (Goliath) with the tracks seen in the first set of photos....Bodes
