hello, It appears to be a 'Camel Corps' bell set up by Jefferson Davis in the 1850's for use out west in the deserts.  I am not weighing in on authenticity as these have been reproduced and are really close to originals.    Regardless, I am aware there was 'new old stock' still available during the Civil War and were issued to cavalry men on occasion. This may explain it turning up on the east coast.  I have a non-dug one in my collection.  Neat find. cheers!

I am a newbie, so I hope I am posting in the correct place.    I found this Field Phone at a recent estate sale and know nothing about it. I think it was used during World War II and the Vietnam War. I do not believe the strap was original to the case. I believe the strap belongs to an older model Field Phone. Can anyone help me identify this Field Phone and explain the 250 marking in red and yellow, as well as the number 2 marking in yellow located on he front of the case? 2.jfif 3.jfif 4.jfif 5.jfif

Looks like a 1950’s reproduction due to the suspension ring thickness.   about $20 dollars of value    Bill
