This is the US Militaria Forum, not the Japanese forum. If you want to show off your latest find I suggest going over the World Militaria Forum. -

Despite the cold and windy day, I attended the monthly flea market. I bought this bag for a mere $10. I wasn’t sure what it was. But thanks to my copy of everyone’s favorite Normandy correspondent’s bible of US Army equipment, I was able to confirm it is a bazooka ammunition bag. The divider straps mentioned in the book had been cut off sometime since Victory Canvas Co. made the bag in 1944. Now I have to resist buying some rockets, and building a demilled bazooka. Mikie -

Scott ... This is my latest find. I picked it up today. As a side note, I explained the scabbard issue. The leather is removable but adhered after 80+ years being tucked away. David -

Is this number traceable? Also, would this be a Robins produced medal given the serial range? Thanks, Austin -

It may be civilian? There is a makers mark on the head but it is illegible. I don’t see any US marking at all. If I knew it was military, I would probably replace the handle with a proper one. But I like the primitive look of the homemade handle. A real handle may be more effective using it, but the handle has been handy as-is when I’ve used it. -

Very nice sword but not the right forum for this. I am no sword expert but as far as I know, the leather is not meant to be removable. You will likely get more answers on the World Militaria Forum. Scott
