I'm not convinced that the scabbard is a Detroit Gasket scabbard. The color is not brown enough and when the photo is enlarged, I cannot see evidence of the DG lazy "S". Marv -

I am less than a year into collecting WW2 knives. My Father enlisted at 18 and he left me his KA-BAR, which started my journey. The Robeson is hailed as the most rare and desirable MK 2 by many folks, and I understand why to a good extent. What is interesting is that I see more Robesons up for sale than the red/black/red pommel spacers of the first gen KA-BAR. Given the supply vacuum for the KA-BAR is it the more sought after, rare knife? -

Hi Mark, Joseph Feeley was my husband's great uncle. I haven't been able to find much more information than what has already been provided. He is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery in Neupre, Belgium, and my family and I will be going there next week to visit his grave. As far as we are aware we will be the first from our family to get there. We are looking forward to being able to honor him for his sacrifice. -
