Dad hated that man for at least 40 years. HM Smith relieved Dad’s 27th Army Infantry Division commander General Ralph Smith in the middle of the battle of Saipan. I'm completing my SSI collection, and am running across official looking patches from eBay sellers I've never seen before and no one else seems to have. The unit names sound legit enough, but where can I look to see it's it's an actual approved SSI? -

Congrats to the Lucky Winner, I think whoever he is did well. And quite an exciting finish, 4 different bidders in the last 10 seconds of the auction. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think a single one of the 4 contenders in the final seconds were among the dozen or so that had previously bid. Is there a lesson or strategy to be learned from that?
