It was almost him, unfortunately the place of birth, date of birth and his rank do not match. The Cpl. Samuel (or Simon) Robinson I am searching for was born in Focșani, Romania in 1898. Does anyone in the NY WW1 records fit the description? -

Can’t go wrong, love4history, with the “Big Red One” as your first patch. Informally we knew it as the “BRO” … many American Divisions had nicknames. -

I am paying attention to the 101st's new public images to see how they are implementing the wear of their historical beret flashes from the 70s on the Army Black Beret. I am now seeing new beret flashes being created and worn by many 101st units (i.e. new flashes). Here are graphics I made of all the new beret flashes the 101st are wearing that I can find so far. In a recent 101st change of command ceremony, the 18th Airborne Corps commander was witness to it all, so this must be authorized in some way; I just wish I/we could see a copy of that authorization. https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjCgatr -

Spent the weekend at another 80th Anniversary of the Liberation event. It involved 2 days servicing a couple of vintage cameras. In this case an USAAC A-3 bomb spotting camera I picked up last year. The spring motor was running a little slow. -

I meant to say I'm going to offload the six on the right, not left. I miss my brain more and more.
